Summer Celebration of Water will be held for its 8th year at Riverfront Park in Columbia. There is NO charge to enter this festival or to participate in its activities that include free boating, kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding on the Columbia Canal. A water slide and a splashy obstacle course for children will provide cooling fun. Please dress to get wet and consult the website for full information on how to get the most out of this festival. Learn more about our Midlands waterways and the how we can care for them at the many exhibit booths that line the promenade on the way to the Columbia Canal. Fascinating tours will be available as well There is something for people of every age and ability at this festival including an array of prizes that will be given away throughout the day at free drawings. All festival visitors will receive a free ticket for the prize drawings and a sturdy water bottle as well as free cold water from the City of Columbia Water Plant provided all day to refill your bottle. This festival is held at Summer’s end, but it may be the best time you will have all summer!
